Well, it’s not really all about me…

To tell the truth, even though this blog is mostly about my crafty creations and random bits of my life, I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Some people who read this might instantly tune me out, but I have to tell the truth and leave the results up to Him. I am a follower of Jesus first and foremost. He saved me from death and hell by paying for my sin (and yours!) on the cross. And now He is helping me live each day to the glory of God. If you don’t know what on earth I’m talking about, just ask me. I’d be happy to share this fabulous news with you!

Besides being a Christian, I am also a wife, a musician, and an aspiring crafter. I love to read, play with children, sing, learn various musical instruments, bake and cook, spend time outdoors enjoying God’s wonderful creation, sew, crochet, make my own stationery, and other various old-fashioned and crafty pastimes. The purpose of this blog is to connect with like-minded crafter around the world. I enjoy hearing your feedback, sharing my ideas and yours, and reading others’ crafty blogs. I dream that maybe someday “when I’m rich and famous, instead of so good-looking” I’ll have my own little craft “studio” where I will make beautiful things that other people will actually want to buy! (It’s just a dream, but I can imagine, can’t I?)

So, that’s a little about me…even though it’s still about Him, ’cause He gave me these abilities in the first place! Thanks, Lord!

  1. I found your site through ravelry and just wanted to say that it is great to see your testimony of the gospel on your “(not really) about me” page! I found it a real encouragement to read your words and I must do something similar myself.

  2. I have been lurking around your blog for a while, and thoroughly enjoying it! I very much appreciate your bio, being as we share a common Savior! Would you be interested in participating in my monthly blog review? Basically, I ask you some email questions, you answer them and give me permission to post some of your pics on my blog, and I’ll write up a little review of what your blog has to offer to the crafty blog world! If you’re up for it, drop me an email (knitsandknots@gmail.com) Thanks!

  3. It is so encouraging to find a website that is set up by a fellow Christian who is not ashamed to share her testimony. I found your sit while looking for a towel topper pattern to use for a PTO project. Thanks and God Bless

  4. We share the same Lord and Savior! PTL! I found your site by looking at the free pattern of the day on “Crochet fun with Pam” a group of wonderful ladies I have had fun getting to know over the past 2 years. Will continue to look around your pages. Do have 1 question= where could I find the pattern of the yellow and white dishcloth or trivet I saw in one of your photos? I think it is so pretty. I love cats and have one sleeping on the desk right beside me now. He just knows this is his place. Good luck on the business as I plan to open a business when I retire doing machine embroidery. Thanks, Rita

  5. How refreshing to find another Christian Crafter. I found your blog because I was looking for heart patterns. Yours was my favorite. I have made about 30 so far and may make a scarf like the one I saw posted on your home page. I have given quite a few away already so I will have to make some more.

Thank you for sharing your love for Christ.

  6. I love seeing when a sister in the Lord cannot help but shout with joy her love for him and all he has done. I am especially greatfull during the Easter season…or better known as Resurrection day. He paid the price and I am forever thankful. I will bookmark this site for sure!
    God Bless You!

  7. Hi I like your site. I am a fellow crafter. Mostly I do crochet, but some scrapbooking and some embroidery, lots of sewing. I’d like to keep in touch, but it will have to be via email. Thanks for the patterns and encouragement.

I to am a Christian. I make prayer shawls and other items for our church. I am in the process of making a heart cushion for a lovely lady that has cancer. She just went through the scare with her husband and now she has it. I needed a pattern for a heart and found it here. I find a lot of things here on your site that I use.
Thank you. May God Bless You and Your Family

  11. I praise God for your strong spirit. I’ve just come through a hard time in my life and God carried me in prayers. He has blessed me with the ability to crochet etc. which was like a meditation for me before and after my operation. Your quote is a nice reminder of who can help when no human can.

  13. I love that you are so bold and share your testimony. I am running a crochet company and I have been waffling back and forth with how much to share. This is a huge encouragement to me. Thank the Lord that he knows the plans and not us!
